Cooper City, FL — Linxter, Inc., provider of message-oriented cloud middleware, today announced it will be presenting on this month’s Windows Azure User Group nationwide webcast July 13th at http://www.AzureUG.net. Linxter Founder and CEO Jason Milgram will provide an architectural overview of building a personal mobile medical app for Windows Phone 7 using Azure.
Milgram will discuss how the app was developed, how Windows Azure was used, and the challenges that arose during development. Participants will leave the session with a solid understanding of the architecture and a glimpse into the emerging market of mobile medical apps.
“In a non-scientific study, we’re seeing that people are more likely -- by a factor of 7 -- to use an app if it’s available on their mobile phones versus their computers,” stated Milgram. “It’s a matter of accessibility. The easier or more accessible an app is, the more likely we are to use it, and with smart phones, we’ve all got portable computers in our pockets.”
The Windows Azure User Group is a national user group focused on sharing and exchanging knowledge around Microsoft’s Window Azure platform. The group meeting is monthly in a webinar format. Membership is free by registering on the website http://www.AzureUG.net.
“The time to start learning about mobile development and cloud computing -- if you haven’t already – is now,” said Milgram. “Every mobile app needs a back-end, and the cloud is the smart choice for that. Together, mobile and cloud computing is the baseline for many of the new killer apps coming to market.”
